STOP PRESS - Extra Family History Programme in March

Was your grandfather a miner or a marquis?  Was your gandmother a Lady or a landlady.  Were your ancestors famous, infamous - or just your normal Joe?  Wherever your family came from, it can be great fun learning how to find out about them.  The Feelgood Factory is running introductory programmes to enable you to do just that.  Owing to the success of the first two programmes, an extra four-week run will start on March 17th.

Each course will give you the opportunity to look at the following:

  • Census records
  • Births marriages and deaths records
  • Poor Law records
  • Newspapers
  • Keeping records
  • Reading photos
  • Using the Internet
  • Using archives

and more.

The programme is designed to give you the skills to start researching your family tree for yourself.  Please be aware that it will concentrate on records found in Britain and Ireland.  Help with ancestors from other countries will be given where possible but it will be limited to signposting only.

Owing to the success of the current programmes, an extra four-week programmes has been arranged.

Tuesday 17th March, 2.30 until 4.30 for 4 weeks.

The cost of each session will be £3.

Numbers are restricted so prior booking is essential.  To reserve a place, please pop in to the Feelgood Factory, phone 291 8010 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
