One way to improve both your health and quality of life is to meet new people. Mixing with people helps you to:
- Raise your sense of connection, belonging and purpose.
- Boost your happiness and lower your stress.
- Improve your self-confidence and feelings of self-worth.
- Helps you cope through hard times, such as divorce, serious illness, job loss or the death of a loved one.
- Urges you to change or avoid habits that aren't healthy. These might include drinking too much or not exercising.
The Feelgood Factory runs three main programmes that are aimed purely at helping you to meet people (although most of our timetable has an emphais on socialising with others as well).
If you would like to speak with someone about these groups please either:
1. Before 2nd January - Fill in this form and someone will contact you when we are back in the office.
2. After 2nd January - Phone 0151 291 8010 or pop into the Feelgood Factory.
Tea and Talk - this is a weekly group held on a Thursday afternoon which is all about meeting new people over a cup of tea and a biscuit and, often, sharing ideas and activities such as quizzes. |
|
Ladies' Friendship Grpup - a weekly group held on a Wednesday afternoon, specifically for women to meet each other as friends.
|
|
Man Cave - this one is just for the men! The Man Cave is held on Friday afternoons and is a chance for men to get together play games such as darts, cards and chess as well as to talk over tea or coffee. |
