Alison’s life before coming to the Feelgood Factory:

“I was struggling to cope and adjust to being made redundant after 40 years. I felt isolated as my social connections and friendships were at work.”

And after:

Alison is now looking at setting up a business. She says that she feels a cloud has been lifted from her life .

For over twenty years, the Feelgood Factory has been helping people in the Merseyside borough of Sefton deal with issues like physical health issues caused by lifestyle choices, anxiety and depression, social isolation and other problems impacting on health. Alison is a typical example. In her case a chat with a health mentor identified that money was an immediate issue and she needed advice and guidance to steer her way through the benefits system and back into work. This was organised and she also attended programmes to help her cope with stress and improve her physical wellbeing.
